This concept is not new: I remember some "veterans" cricket tournaments in the mid-90s where we got Ian Botham in the commentary box deriding Desmond Haynes' on the field for his medium pace deliveries. And Haynes promising that he would get wickets with his part-time bowling. And getting them too, I might add.
Gilchrist and Symonds were the men with the microphones yesterday, and what little I got to hear from them when Australia were fielding was true "reality" TV.
Symonds, rather predicably, got involved in profanity as can be read here. This article contains dialogues from Michael Clarke that you can picture any Bollywood villain saying!
Speaking of reality TV, check out a one-on-one conversation between Shoaib Akhtar and Irfan Pathan. Such candidness from Shoaib.
Reality TV should turn to cricket and stop the nonsense dancing and singing.
